About

First of all, thank you very much for visiting my web page. I am a faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

My academic journey began in the Department of Civil Engineering at Balıkesir University, where I completed my bachelor's degree in 1998. I completed my master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems at Greenwich University in England in 1999. I carried out my doctoral research, again in England, at the University of Salford on BIM–3D GIS (Building Information Modelling – 3D Geographic Information Systems) integration, under the supervision of Prof. Ghassan Aouad, Prof. Jason Underwood and Dr. Nigel Trodd, and completed it in 2007.

My field of expertise, in which I received the title of Associate Professor in Turkey, is Civil Engineering / Project and Construction Management, and through my work in this field I continue to contribute to the construction sector and the academic community. My current research interests include technologies and methodologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), 3D Geographic Information Systems (3D GIS), Machine Learning and Deep Learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), Digital City Models, Structural Equation Modelling and Data Visualisation.

Since 1999 I have taught at various universities and have been a guest speaker at institutions in Turkey and abroad. The results of my research have been published in nationally and internationally recognised academic journals and conference proceedings.

My academic work includes writing and editing books, organising academic conferences, editorial roles in peer-reviewed journals, leading and advising research projects, and supervising master's and doctoral theses. You can find my publications and academic activities on platforms such as Academia.edu, Google Scholar, LinkedIn and Zenodo.
